It is time for a change.
Katie Williams released the following statement regarding her campaign:
"After 12 years of the incumbent, almost 50% of schools in District B are rated at 1 or 2 stars. It is time for a change. The failure we see in our schools is exactly why I am running to represent District B on the Clark County School District Board of Trustees. I want to bring a new perspective to the board--to find innovative solutions to the state of our education system.
I hope you will join me in this fight and support my campaign financially. It is never easy to ask for money, and I would not be doing so if I saw another path to help our children.
We cannot place a monetary amount on our children's education future. For that reason, I am respectfully asking that you find anything--whether it be $10 or $100, and help me in this fight to bring a new perspective to the Clark County School Board."
