Las Vegas, Nev. -- Katie Williams, Trustee-Elect for District B of the Clark County School District Board of Trustees, released the following statement regarding her November 3rd win:
"Thank you, District B! The people of District B have spoken, and their message is undeniably clear: it is time for a change. I am proud to be able to carry the banner of change to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees.
Over the next four years, there is a lot of work to be done. I am excited to work with the students, parents, teachers, principals, and with every member of our community for the betterment of our children. With a focus on fiscal conservatism and results driven policy, we can make an incredible difference.
To those who have been critical of me throughout this election, I simply ask this: come to the table, listen, and give me a chance to work withyou for our children. There is always more to unite us than there is to divide us.
To my opponent, Jeff Proffitt, thank you for your willingness to serve our citizens. You ran a great campaign. I hope that you will join me at the table to work for the students in our district.
As always, my door will remain open, and I will always be available to speak with those who wish to have a dialogue about helping our children.
Let's get to work!"
